Call three shops and ask for the PVC flooring roll price in Delhi. One says ₹18 per sq ft. Another says ₹32. The third says ₹48. Same city, same day, same “PVC roll”. So who’s right?
Usually, all of them. They’re just quoting three different products and not telling you.
Most people spend an afternoon on this before they realise price alone tells them nothing. This guide will save you that afternoon. We’ll look at what rolls actually cost in Delhi right now, why the numbers vary so much, and which extra charges show up only after you’ve said yes.
The short answer: current PVC roll rates in Delhi
Here’s a rough picture of PVC flooring roll rate per sq ft in the Delhi market. These are indicative material-only ranges based on what suppliers are listing at the moment. Your final price will depend on brand, design and quantity.
| Roll thickness | Where it’s usually used | Indicative rate (₹ per sq ft) |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 mm – 0.7 mm | Rented flats, short-term use, low footfall | ₹9 – ₹20 |
| 1 mm – 1.3 mm | Bedrooms, small shops, storerooms | ₹21 – ₹30 |
| 1.5 mm | Living rooms, light commercial use | around ₹35 |
| 2 mm | Offices, clinics, busy homes, showrooms | ₹28 – ₹50 |
Notice the 2 mm row. A ₹28 roll and a ₹50 roll can both be “2 mm”. That gap isn’t random, and it’s the most important thing in this blog.
Why two rolls of the same thickness cost so differently
1. The wear layer. This is the clear top coat that takes the scuffs, chappal marks and chair wheels. Thickness tells you how heavy the roll is, but the wear layer tells you how long the surface survives. Rolls with a proper 0.2 mm wear layer sit at the upper end of the price range for a reason.
2. What the roll is made of. Some budget rolls use a lot of filler or recycled content. They look fine on day one, then go brittle or fade near windows. You can’t judge this by eye, so ask the seller directly.
3. The design. A plain grey or a basic print costs less than a detailed wood-look or marble-look finish. Better printing and embossing add to the rate.
4. Brand and batch. Known brands charge more, and they also tend to give you consistent colour across the roll.
5. Roll width and cutting. Rolls often come around 1.8 to 2 metres wide. How well your room’s dimensions match the roll width changes how much you waste.
Rate per sq ft or rate per roll? Ask which one
Some sellers quote per sq ft, some per running metre, and some per full roll. Don’t compare them directly.
Here’s a quick way to translate. A roll that’s 2 metres wide and 20 metres long covers 40 square metres, which is about 430 sq ft. If someone quotes you ₹14,000 for that roll, it works out to roughly ₹32 per sq ft. Do this sum before you compare anything.
A worked example: 12 ft × 14 ft bedroom
Let’s make this real. Your room is 168 sq ft. Add around 8% for cutting and wastage and you need about 181 sq ft of material.
- Quote A: ₹28 per sq ft, material only. That’s about ₹5,070. But adhesive, fitting and skirting are extra.
- Quote B: ₹36 per sq ft, with a thicker wear layer, adhesive and fitting included.
Quote A looks cheaper. By the time you add adhesive, labour and edge finishing, it often isn’t. Always ask what’s inside the number.
Costs nobody mentions on the phone
Before you finalise any PVC flooring roll price in Delhi, check whether these are included:
- Adhesive. Glue-down rolls need the right adhesive, and it’s a real cost.
- Subfloor levelling. If your cement floor is uneven or dusty, it needs levelling first. Skip it, and every bump shows through within weeks.
- Labour and fitting. Charged per sq ft or as a lump sum. Get it in writing.
- Skirting and edge strips. Often forgotten, then billed separately.
- Transport and unloading. Especially for upper floors without a lift.
- GST. Ask whether the rate you heard is before or after tax.
Extra quantity. Keep 5 to 8 percent extra for wastage and for future repairs.
Which thickness makes sense for which room?
You don’t need the thickest roll everywhere. Spending smartly matters more than spending more.
- Bedrooms and kids’ rooms: 1.3 mm to 1.5 mm is usually enough.
- Living rooms and passages: 1.5 mm to 2 mm, since these get the most walking.
- Shops, clinics, offices: 2 mm with a good wear layer. For larger projects, our guide to choosing commercial PVC flooring suppliers goes into specifications and bulk supply.
- Rental or short-term use: thinner rolls are fine, as long as you accept they won’t last as long.
One honest warning: a roll can’t fix a damp slab. If moisture is coming up from below, sort that first.
Roll or tiles? A quick note
Rolls work best for big, open areas because there are fewer joints. If your space is small, oddly shaped, or likely to need spot repairs, tiles may suit you better. We’ll cover tile pricing separately, because it follows a different logic.
6 questions to ask before you accept a quote
- What is the exact thickness in mm, and what is the wear layer?
- Is the rate per sq ft, per running metre or per roll?
- Is adhesive, fitting and skirting included?
- Can the full quantity come from one batch?
- What does the warranty cover, and who visits if a seam opens?
- Can I see the actual roll, not just a photo?
If a seller gets vague on the first two, that tells you most of what you need to know. For a fuller checklist on judging a seller, see our guide on what to check before choosing a PVC flooring dealer in Pitampura.
Mistakes that cost people money
- Choosing the lowest rate without asking about the wear layer
- Comparing a “with fitting” quote to a “material only” one
- Ordering exact area with no wastage allowance
- Ignoring the condition of the floor underneath
- Finalising colour from a WhatsApp photo

Quick FAQs
What is the average PVC flooring roll price in Delhi?
For common home-use rolls, rates generally fall between ₹20 and ₹50 per sq ft for material, depending on thickness, wear layer and design. Very thin rolls cost less, and premium decorative ones cost more.
What is the rate of a 2 mm PVC flooring roll?
It varies widely, roughly ₹28 to ₹50 per sq ft in the market. The difference mostly comes from wear layer quality and the design.
Does installation cost extra?
Usually yes, unless the quote clearly says “supply and fitting”. Ask for adhesive, labour and skirting to be listed separately so you can compare properly.
Is PVC flooring good for Delhi’s climate?
In most cases, yes. It handles dust, humidity and regular mopping well, as long as the subfloor is dry and properly prepared.
How much extra should I order?
Around 5 to 8 percent, to cover cuts and future repairs.
